This is a custom-built 75kVA, three-phase, dry-type distribution transformer that steps 480V Delta (Wye-N) primary power down to a 208Y/120V secondary — sized for equipment like control panels, motors, CNC machines, welders, conveyor systems, pumps, printing equipment, and general fabrication tools. It's housed in a NEMA 3R enclosure, shipped as Type 2 for indoor installation and field-convertible to Type 3R for outdoor use with a weather shield; it's floor-mounted, with accessories available for wall or trapeze (ceiling) mounting. Construction uses non-aging, cold-rolled silicon steel cores and aluminum windings, with Class H (220°C) insulation rated for a 150°C temperature rise, vacuum-pressure-impregnated windings, and primary adjustment taps (2 above, 4 below, in 2.5 percent increments) at 60Hz. Each core is coated against moisture ingress and electrically balanced to reduce axial stress during short-circuit events. The unit meets DOE 2016 and Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) minimum energy-efficiency standards, rated at a minimum of 98.60 percent efficiency at 35 percent loading and 75°C. Terminals are sized for 125 percent of secondary nameplate current and 250 percent of primary nameplate current, with NEMA two-hole lugs and a bend radius suited for side or bottom wiring access. The unit is naturally air-cooled through front-mounted exhaust vents, needs only about an inch of rear clearance from obstructions, and runs at a low sound level — at least 3dB below NEMA Standard ST-20 requirements.
