This is a Boxabl Casita — a factory-built, foldable home designed to fold down to roughly 8 feet wide for standard highway transport, avoiding the wide-load escorts and signage a typical 14-foot-wide modular home requires. It ships in its folded state, remains upright throughout transport, and is delivered by crane and semi-truck, unfolding on site in about a day. The kitchen and bathroom are built into one side of the unit and stay intact through shipping, and the unit bolts to a foundation using connector plates once positioned. The kitchen comes full-size, with an oven, dishwasher, microwave, double sink, shaker cabinets, and a full-size refrigerator. The bathroom includes a large counter, backlit mirror, vessel sink, and a deep shower or tub behind a sliding glass barn door. Delivery includes the fully finished interior, cabinets and windows included, but you'll need to prepare the foundation and arrange utility hookups in advance unless the unit will run off-grid. The Casita works as a standalone small home or as an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) — a secondary structure on a lot with an existing home, useful for rental income or housing family, and permitted in many areas where a tiny house on wheels is not.
