This 20ft open top container swaps the standard steel roof for a weatherproof tarpaulin over removable steel roof bows, so cargo that's too tall or too heavy to load through the door — machinery, pipes, steel bars, cabling, mineral ore, mining equipment, logs, construction supplies for wind farms and oil rigs, and other oversized or over-height loads — can be lowered in and lifted out by crane from above. The header bar above the door swings open or is removable as well, giving you a clear opening for loading from the front in addition to the top. Construction is Corten steel with a wooden floor, galvanized locking hardware, and lashing rings for securing cargo during transit. Tare weight is approximately 5,182 lbs (2,350 kg), with a maximum payload of about 62,027 lbs (28,130 kg) and a cubic capacity of roughly 1,147 cubic feet (32.5 m³). Internal dimensions run about 19'3" long x 7'7" wide x 7'8" high, with a door opening of 7'7" wide x 7'4" high and a roof opening of 7'3" wide x 17'10" long. The container is CSC approved for international freight transport.
