1 / 1CAT Natural Gas Generators
CAT Natural Gas Generators are stationary gas generator sets available in single-phase and 3-phase configurations, including the 175 eKW DG175 GC and 200 eKW DG200 GC models, both EPA certified for stationary emergency application.
Full Description
This range of Cat natural gas generator sets covers stationary, self-contained power systems built for continuous, uninterrupted operation on gaseous fuels, spanning from the 175 ekW single- or three-phase DG175 GC up through the 4,500 ekW (4,050 ekW @ 1.0pf) CG260-16. The DG-series units — DG175 through DG500 — run at 60 Hz and are U.S. EPA certified for Stationary Emergency Application; voltage options on the larger DG models (DG400 GC, DG450 GC) include 120/208, 120/240, 277/480, and 346/600 VAC. Moving up the line, the G3406 through G3520H models run on natural gas, with several — the G3406, G3412, G3512E, G3516A, and G3520C among them — also rated for biogas, field gas, coal gas, or propane. Maximum continuous ratings on this tier run from 235 ekW up to roughly 2,519 ekW, with maximum electrical efficiency climbing as high as 45.3% on the G3516H and G3520H. The FAST RESPONSE variants (G3412, G3512, G3516, G3520) carry U.S. EPA certification for non-emergency stationary genset use, at standby ratings from 500 ekW up to 2,500 ekW at 0.8 power factor. The CG-series — CG132B through CG260-16 — extends the range further still, from 400 ekW up to 4,500 ekW, with several models rated for natural gas, biogas, and coal gas and electrical efficiencies reaching 45.0%. These generator sets are built for facilities where continuous power isn't optional — hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, sewage treatment plants, agricultural operations, cell towers, mines, airports, greenhouses, and public utilities among them — and can be integrated with controls, exhaust after-treatment, fuel trains, combined heat-and-power skids, and switchgear to build out a complete power system rather than standing alone as a single unit.

Common Questions
How does the deposit and reservation process work?
A refundable deposit of up to $1,000 (or the item's full price if it's lower) holds this unit and locks the quoted price for 48–72 hours while we confirm availability and arrange delivery. If your order doesn't move forward, the deposit is fully refunded.
Do you deliver, and does it cost extra?
Yes, we deliver nationwide. Delivery is coordinated after reservation and quoted based on your location and the unit's size, so it isn't included in the listed price.
What's your return policy?
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery. Return shipping and any related costs are the customer's responsibility.
Can I write this purchase off as a business expense?
Businesses may qualify to deduct the full purchase price in the year it's placed in service under Section 179, rather than depreciating it over several years. Rules and limits vary, so this isn't tax advice — talk to your accountant about your specific situation.
