40ft Refrigerated Containers

The 40ft Refrigerated Container — also called a reefer container — is a new 40ft High Cube ISO unit built with a stainless steel exterior for corrosion resistance and a hybrid stainless steel and aluminum interior that's food-grade and easy to clean. It's fully insulated with polyurethane and fitted with a Thermo King Magnum Plus refrigeration unit, holding a working range of -40°C to +30°C on 460-volt, 3-phase, 30-amp power, with R452A refrigerant and a 50ft power cable. At the low end of its range the unit can hold temperatures down to -40°C, which makes it suitable for ultra-cold applications such as pharmaceutical or vaccine storage in addition to standard fresh and frozen cargo. Construction includes stainless steel (MGSS) outer cladding, four automatic self-closing floor drains (two front, two rear), and stainless steel interior walls. Standard features include a panic alarm with exterior siren and strobe light, an interior aluminum scuff liner, an aluminum flat floor, a heavy-duty sliding door curtain to help hold temperature, a safety door that can be opened from inside, and interior lighting with a light switch. Exterior dimensions are 40'L x 8'W x 9'6"H, with an interior of 38'L x 7'6"W x 8'5"H and a door opening of 7'6"W x 8'5"H. The unit weighs approximately 9,920 lbs. Available in New (One-Trip, shipped from Asia with a single cargo load) or Used Cargo Worthy condition — Used units are certified for global transport based on the condition of the doors, floor, walls, and ceiling, and may show dents, rust, or corroded paint while remaining leakproof. Customers exporting the container should purchase a Cargo Worthy or One-Trip unit along with a CSC Survey. This is the tallest and longest reefer size in the lineup, suited to high-volume cold storage, food and beverage distribution, and static or mobile temperature-controlled storage applications.
