This is a Carrier Transicold PowerLINE 69UG15-068S-13 undermount generator set — Series 13, built with Carrier's ecoFORWARD technologies to meet the US EPA Tier 4 emissions standard. It's powered by a proven 2.2-liter diesel engine rated at 18.5 kW, paired with an ultra-high-efficiency 15 kW custom-designed permanent-magnet generator that reduces the power draw from the engine by roughly 20%. FuelWise two-speed functionality is standard, automatically switching the generator between two operating speeds via a black-box controller for fuel savings of up to 34% versus prior standard units. The Series 13 platform is compliant with California Air Resources Board (CARB) standards for seven years from purchase without further modification. After that point, CARB requires further emissions reductions for this engine class (8-19 kW) for units operating in California; Carrier offers an optional Engine Emissions System (EES), installable at the factory or in the field, that brings the unit into compliance with CARB's ultra-low-emissions standard (ULETRU) for continued use beyond the seven-year window. Fuel tank options include 50-, 68-, and 80-gallon integral tanks in steel or aluminum, with the unit weighing between 660 kg (1,455 lb, 50-gallon aluminum tank) and 703 kg (1,580 lb, 68-gallon tank), less fuel.
