Full Description
Carrier Transicold's PowerLINE undermount generator sets (gensets, model 69UG15) are built for continuous, unattended operation of refrigerated containers transported by road or rail, mounting underneath the chassis rather than clipping onto the container itself. Each unit is self-contained, combining the diesel engine, generator, battery, integral fuel tank, and operating controls in one package designed to mount to a variety of ISO container chassis using standard four-point hardware or Carrier's QuickMount system, and each is load tested before shipping. The lineup covers three emissions-compliance platforms depending on the region: Series 55, built for EU Stage V compliance around an 18.5 kW engine and CE marking; Series 13, built to US EPA Tier 4 and CARB standards with a 15 kW permanent-magnet generator and an optional Engine Emissions System for extended CARB compliance beyond seven years; and Series 5, an export-only configuration built to the US EPA Tier 4 Interim standard around a 23.9 kW engine and 460V field-wound generator. All three deliver a nominal 15 kW output to power ISO reefer containers and include Carrier's FuelWise two-speed technology, which automatically shifts engine speed to match refrigeration load for fuel savings of up to 28-34% depending on series. Common equipment across the range includes a full-flow spin-on oil filter, integral fuel filter with water separator and fuel heater, dry-element air cleaner, self-tensioning Poly V belt, stainless steel exhaust, E-coat tube-and-fin radiator, 12V DC maintenance-free battery with solid-state charger, and safety stop controls for low oil pressure and high water temperature. Rated ambient operating range is -40°C to +52°C for structure and running, and -26°C to +52°C for starting, across the lineup. Weight runs roughly 670-730 kg depending on series and fuel tank size, with tank options ranging from 50 to 80 gallons (189 to 303 liters) depending on configuration. Available in New and Used condition.
