Full Description
The Thermo King SL-400e is a Diesel Direct Electric trailer refrigeration unit in the Precedent line, sized above the SL-100e and SL-200e within the same platform. It uses common-rail fuel injection to meet current emissions standards without an expensive after-treatment system, and it carries CARB Evergreen certification, allowing continued operation in California without a diesel particulate filter (DPF) while meeting EPA requirements. Like the rest of the SL family, it is offered in single- and multi-temperature configurations and includes an advanced condenser system with microchannel coils that more than doubles surface area versus conventional designs, improving airflow and eliminating dead spots. Optional ThermoLite solar panels extend battery life and reduce fuel consumption and emissions, and Bluetooth-enabled in-cab and in-yard access through the Reefer mobile app lets drivers and yard staff monitor cargo temperature and alarms remotely. The unit is backed by Thermo King's manufacturer warranty and available in new and used condition.
