1 / 8X2 2500A Trailer Refrigeration Units
A used Carrier Transicold X2 2500A diesel refrigeration unit, 2012-2013 model years, sold with a 6-month engine warranty.
Full Description
Built on the original X-Series platform, the Carrier Transicold X2 2500A is a single-temperature trailer refrigeration unit from the X2 Series, updated with more aerodynamic styling, quieter operation, and easier serviceability. An Advance microprocessor with an integrated DataLink data recorder drives the unit's temperature control logic and manages cooling capacity to minimize fuel use, and the unit pairs a Kubota diesel engine with a six-cylinder compressor. At a 35°F setpoint and 100°F ambient, it produces 66,000 BTU/hr of cooling — the highest capacity in the X2 lineup. Standard dimensions are a 76.4″ x 85.7″ x 22.8″ condenser, a 66.3″ x 45.2″ x 8.2″ evaporator, and a 66.8″ x 46.0″ body opening, with R-404A as the standard refrigerant. The unit's doors are made from a high-strength composite for enhanced impact resistance, light resistance, thermal stability, and heat resistance. Full-length side doors are hinged at the trailer and swing open all the way to the top with a single latch per side for fast service access, and the front panels open from the center with one latch. Noise is controlled through an aero-acoustic grille with wider openings, integrated door seals, recessed acoustic foam, a tuned engine intake system, and a V-Force vortex suppression fan, with an optional Stealth package for further noise reduction. This unit falls in the 2012–2013 model year range, with used inventory typically showing 5,000–9,000 hours. It is available in new and used condition; used units are generally serviced with new belts, an oil change, and fresh filters, inspected by a reefer technician, and fitted with an LED remote indicator light. An install kit — remote fuel tank and brackets, fuel lines, air chute, and bulkhead hardware — is available for units going into a new trailer.

Common Questions
How does the deposit and reservation process work?
A refundable deposit of up to $1,000 (or the item's full price if it's lower) holds this unit and locks the quoted price for 48–72 hours while we confirm availability and arrange delivery. If your order doesn't move forward, the deposit is fully refunded.
Do you deliver, and does it cost extra?
Yes, we deliver nationwide. Delivery is coordinated after reservation and quoted based on your location and the unit's size, so it isn't included in the listed price.
What's your return policy?
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery. Return shipping and any related costs are the customer's responsibility.
Can I write this purchase off as a business expense?
Businesses may qualify to deduct the full purchase price in the year it's placed in service under Section 179, rather than depreciating it over several years. Rules and limits vary, so this isn't tax advice — talk to your accountant about your specific situation.
