Full Description

Carrier Transicold's PowerLINE® generator set is a clip-on diesel genset built to power ISO refrigerated containers when they're moving without access to shore or genset-rack power, whether by road or rail. It attaches directly above the container's refrigeration unit — hanging on the header rail via a pin-mounting bracket or an optional self-aligning ratcheted clamp — with no modification needed to the container itself, and it can be attached or removed in a matter of minutes. We offer the PowerLINE lineup across three emissions series depending on where the unit will operate: Series 55 (POWERLINE® 69RG15-120W-55), built to meet EU Stage V emissions standards for markets in Europe; Series 13 (POWERLINE® 69RG15-120W-13), compliant with the current US EPA Tier 4 standard and California Air Resources Board (CARB) requirements; and Series 5 (POWERLINE® 69RG15-130W-05), built to the legacy Tier 4 Interim standard for export markets outside the US. All three share the same core platform: a 2.2-liter diesel engine (rated at roughly 18.5–23.9 kW depending on series) paired with a 15 kW generator producing 460V, three-phase, 60 Hz output (18.75 kVA), and an integral fuel tank built into an all-steel, powder-coated frame. The FuelWise™ two-speed system, standard on later series and optional on Series 5, automatically switches the engine between 1800 rpm (60 Hz) and 1500 rpm (50 Hz) based on cooling load, cutting fuel consumption by up to 34% versus earlier standard units. Every unit ships with a full-flow spin-on oil filter, integral fuel filter with water separator, fuel heater, stainless steel exhaust, an E-coat tube-and-fin radiator, and a 12V DC maintenance-free battery with solid-state charger, along with safety stop controls for low oil pressure and high water temperature. Total weight, including the genset, oil, coolant, a dry fuel tank, and battery, runs approximately 818 kg (1,804 lb), and each unit carries a weight decal reflecting the fueled gross weight. All gensets are CSC certified and suitable for both ISO and DNV 2.7-1 reefer containers. Available in New and Used condition.
