Full Description
This is a Carrier Transicold PowerLINE® 69RG15-120W-55 clip-on generator set — Series 55, built to comply with EU Stage V nonroad mobile machinery emissions standards and recommended for European applications. It carries the CE mark, confirming its 18.5 kW, 2.2-liter diesel engine meets Stage V's thresholds for carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, particulate matter, and nitrogen oxides. The engine drives a permanent-magnet generator with a single-winding, contactless design for reduced complexity and improved reliability, delivering 460V, three-phase, 60 Hz output (18.75 kVA) — enough to run any ISO reefer's refrigeration system. Carrier's FuelWise™ two-speed technology is standard, automatically shifting the engine between 1800 rpm (60 Hz) and 1500 rpm (50 Hz) based on cooling load; Carrier states this cuts fuel consumption by up to 34% compared to prior models without FuelWise, and about 6% better than legacy PowerLINE units that had FuelWise, thanks to the newer high-efficiency generator. The unit attaches to the container's header rail with a pin-mounting bracket, with a self-aligning ratcheted clamp mount available for attachment to the corner castings, and it can be connected or disconnected in a matter of minutes. It sits in front of the refrigeration unit's upper face without blocking access to the control box, and its footprint is designed to resist tipping from rough forklift handling, with extended, reinforced fork pockets. The genset is rated to operate structurally from -40°C to +52°C (-40°F to +125°F), starting between -26°C and +52°C (-15°F and +125°F), and running continuously across the full -40°C to +52°C range, delivering a full 15 kW output. It weighs approximately 830 kg (1,830 lb) less fuel, measures roughly 2,324 mm x 706 mm x 1,078 mm (91.5 in x 27.8 in x 42.5 in), and is suitable for both ISO and DNV 2.7-1 reefer containers. Available in Brand New and Used condition.
