Full Description
This is a Carrier Transicold PowerLINE® 69RG15-120W-13 clip-on generator set — Series 13 in Carrier's lineup, built to comply with the current US EPA Tier 4 emissions standard along with California Air Resources Board (CARB) requirements. It's compliant with CARB standards for seven years from the date of purchase without modification; after that, an optional engine emissions system (EES), installable at the factory or in the field, extends compliance to meet CARB's ultra-low diesel emissions standard (ULETRU) for continued use in California. The genset is built around a 2.2-liter diesel engine rated at 18.5 kW, driving an ultra-high-efficiency 15 kW permanent magnet generator that outputs 460V, three-phase, 60 Hz power (18.75 kVA) — enough to run any ISO reefer's refrigeration system. Carrier's FuelWise™ two-speed technology is standard on this series, automatically switching the engine between speeds via a black-box controller to deliver up to 34% fuel savings compared to earlier standard units, without requiring any operator input. A 120-gallon (492-liter) fuel tank is built into the all-steel frame, and the unit attaches to the container's header rail with a pin-mounting bracket, with a clamp-mount option available for corner-casting attachment. Additional standard equipment includes a full-flow spin-on oil filter with internal bypass filtration, an integral fuel filter with water separator, a fuel heater, an external in-line fuel strainer, a high-efficiency air cleaner, a self-tensioning Poly-V belt, a stainless steel exhaust, a patented E-coat tube-and-fin radiator, and a 12V DC maintenance-free battery with a solid-state charger. Safety stop controls cover low oil pressure and high water temperature, and the frame and sheet metal are powder-coated for corrosion resistance. The unit is rated to operate from -40°C to +52°C (-40°F to +125°F) structurally, starting between -26°C and +52°C (-15°F and +125°F), and running continuously across the full -40°C to +52°C range, delivering a full 15 kW output. It weighs approximately 851 kg (1,875 lb), and it's suitable for both ISO and DNV 2.7-1 reefer containers. Available in Brand New and Used condition.
