Thermo King Precedent C-600 Trailer Refrigeration System

The Thermo King Precedent C-600 is a single-temperature trailer refrigeration unit built around a lower-horsepower engine version of the Precedent platform, giving cost-effective pull-down performance for applications that don't require the S-Series' full output. It's certified CARB Evergreen, meaning it meets California Air Resources Board and EPA emissions standards for the life of the unit without ever needing a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) or future emissions upgrades. The engine (TK486V25 / TK488CR1) is a four-cylinder, direct-injection, liquid-cooled diesel rated at 24 hp at 2,200 rpm, with a 12-quart oil capacity and a 3,000-hour maintenance interval. Cooling is handled by an X430L reciprocating compressor with a 30.0 cubic-inch displacement, lightweight aluminum-alloy body, heads, and sump, charged with 14.5 lbs of R404A refrigerant. Rated refrigeration capacity (engine power with ETV, at 100°F ambient) is 59,000 BTU/hr (16,998 watts) at 35°F, 34,000 BTU/hr (9,964 watts) at 0°F, and 21,000 BTU/hr (6,154 watts) at -20°F, with 50,000 BTU/hr of heating capacity and 3,350 ft³/min of airflow. The unit weighs 1,863 lbs and measures 81.6 x 86.2 x 24 inches; it mounts on a 50-gallon aluminum undermount fuel tank with a visual fuel-level gauge. Standard features include the Smart Reefer 4 (SR4) controller with a temperature data logger, ServiceWatch and OptiSet Plus diagnostics, running and pretrip diagnostics, an integrated USB port, TracKing telematics from the factory, a permanent-magnet generator, microchannel condenser coils, a dual-speed evaporator fan, and composite door panels with auto-latch and auto secondary latch. Factory options include a Severe Duty Package (4,000-hour filtration with synthetic oil), a Supplemental Power Kit, an Arctic Package (block heater, electric fuel heater, synthetic oil), LED lighting and chrome appearance packages, SmartPower electric standby in 230V or 460V 3-phase, a fresh-air exchange system, and a 65-amp alternator.
