The Thermo King SB-210 is a mid-capacity model in Thermo King's SB trailer refrigeration lineup, built around Thermo King's Smart Reefer technology. Engine power comes from a TK486V diesel, rated at 34 hp, running at 1,450 rpm at low speed and 2,200 rpm at high speed. Cooling is handled by an X430 large-shaft compressor — a step up in displacement from the smaller X426L compressor used on the SB-110 — running on R-404A refrigerant. Standard equipment includes the SR-2 microprocessor controller and the Whisper low-noise package. The SR-2 controller pairs OptiSet Plus (drawing on a library of more than 500 temperature-sensitive commodity profiles, with up to 64 installable per unit) with continuous-run and CYCLE-SENTRY fuel-saving modes, automatic defrost, and CargoWatch data logging for food-safety recordkeeping. ServiceWatch records system performance and alarm history for diagnostics. An electronic throttling valve (ETV) is fitted for faster pull-down and tighter temperature control across the load.
